A highly respected General Contractor with a strong backlog of work is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER to join their growing team.
Projects are already active and this role is tied to ongoing work, stepping into jobs that are already moving.
They are looking for someone who can step into active work, take ownership of project execution, and keep teams aligned from preconstruction through closeout.
Position Overview
This team operates with structure. Communication between field and office is aligned, expectations are clear, and projects move the way they should.
What You Will Be Working On
- Ground up commercial construction
- Office and industrial projects
- Active builds already underway
- Projects typically in the $10M to $50M range
What You Bring
- Experience taking a project from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong budget management, cost control, and forecasting
- Ability to sequence work and keep subcontractors aligned to schedule
- Experience handling RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Clear communication with owners, architects, and internal teams
- Comfort working in ground up commercial projects with office and industrial exposure
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout
- Maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost tracking
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Oversee project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
Qualifications
- Experience managing ground up commercial projects
- Experience managing projects $10M and above
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Proven ability to run projects independently
- Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing
- Stable work history
- Only candidates with relevant construction experience aligned with the role’s project type, scope, and responsibilities will be considered.
Preferred Experience / Software
- Procore, CMiC, Autodesk Build, or similar construction management software
- Bluebeam
- MS Project and/or Primavera P6
- Experience with healthcare, higher education, government, office, industrial, retail, multifamily, or mixed-use work is a plus
- Established vendor and subcontractor relationships are a plus
- Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus
Location / Flexibility
- Local candidates are preferred
- Strong relocators with highly relevant GC-side experience will still be considered
