Waste Hauling Operations Manager

Location: Eastern Pennsylvania

A well-established waste and recycling company is seeking a Hauling Operations Manager to oversee daily collection operations and drive route efficiency across a growing service footprint.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for optimizing routing, supporting field personnel, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to both residential and commercial customers.

Position Overview

The Hauling Operations Manager will take ownership of route management, driver coordination, and operational efficiency, working closely with internal teams and routing software to continuously improve performance and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily hauling operations and route execution
• Assign and optimize routes for collection personnel using routing software
• Drive efficiency improvements across fleet utilization and labor productivity
• Maintain high service standards and resolve customer service challenges
• Monitor KPIs related to safety, productivity, and service delivery

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the waste hauling / environmental services industry (required)
• Strong background in route optimization and fleet operations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL strongly preferred
