Job Description

Gpac is seeking a Product Development Manager for a client that is an innovative and fast-growing leader in collagen-based pet products.

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of new products, from concept through commercialization, with a strong focus on collagen-based formulations, functional ingredients, and pet health applications. You’ll partner closely with R&D, operations, quality, and marketing teams to ensure successful and timely product launches.

This is a high-visibility role that directly influences product innovation in a rapidly expanding segment of the pet industry.

Background & Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in product development, R&D, or formulation within pet food, food & beverage, or CPG
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Direct experience working with collagen, gelatin, or protein-based systems strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with ingredient functionality, raw material handling, and processing techniques
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, drying, molding, or thermal processing
• Experience scaling products from bench to pilot to commercial production
• Strong understanding of GMPs, SOPs, and regulatory/compliance standards
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and project management skills
• Comfortable presenting, collaborating across teams, and occasional travel

Call to Action:

This role offers a base salary of $110K–$150K, depending on experience.
