Gpac is working with a well-established RTE food manufacturerthat is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager, Southern Indiana. They will relocate!
USDA/Meat experience is required!
Responsibilities:
- Implement QA policies, procedures, and directives to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government expectations, providing feedback and follow-up for corrective action.
- Participate in customer audits and annual SQF audits as needed.
- Conduct pre-shipment reviews, CCPs, validation studies, and report deficiencies for GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs.
- Direct inspection and sampling activities to maintain continuous control over materials, facilities, and products, including specification inspections, temperature, and weight checks.
- Identify and resolve problems promptly; skillfully gather and analyze information; develop alternative solutions; and work well in group problem-solving situations.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Computer skills, analytical equipment and food-processing equipment.
- Knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry.
- Knowledge of quality process control and HACCP, SSOP and SOP.
- Knowledge of USDA and FDA standards.
- Self-starter, motivator, goal-oriented and a strategic thinker.
- Good organizational and communication skills both verbally and written.
