Senior Construction Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Construction Project Coordinator to support complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires a strong understanding of construction operations, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams. The Senior Coordinator will play a key role in driving project efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting overall project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination efforts for multiple construction projects simultaneously

  • Support Project Managers in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and budgets

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders

  • Oversee and manage project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

  • Track project performance, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues

  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to leadership

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies

  • Assist with procurement processes and vendor negotiations

  • Mentor and support junior coordinators or administrative staff

  • Participate in site visits, project meetings, and client communications as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project coordination or project management support

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and documentation practices

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects

  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes

  • Knowledge of local building codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements

  • OSHA certification or advanced safety training

  • Experience mentoring or supervising team members
