We are identifying a Senior Litigation Associate (6–10 Years) to join our client’s growing and dynamic litigation practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator seeking increased responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and a clear path toward long-term advancement.


Position: Senior Litigation Associate (6–10 Years)

About the Role

This role is designed for an attorney who is comfortable independently managing complex litigation matters while collaborating with partners on strategy and client development. The position offers a mix of hands-on litigation work, leadership opportunities, and direct client engagement.


Responsibilities

  • Lead litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial preparation
  • Draft and argue motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses and experts
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including e-discovery and document review
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and proceedings
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients
  • Maintain and grow client relationships through effective communication
  • Mentor junior associates and support staff
  • Manage deadlines, budgets, and overall case progression

Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong background in civil and/or commercial litigation
  • Experience handling matters independently with minimal oversight
  • Exposure to federal court practice preferred
  • Excellent writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters
  • Leadership and mentoring experience preferred
  • North Carolina Bar admission required
