Funeral Director & Embalmer

Northern Wisconsin

A well-established funeral home in northern Wisconsin is seeking a Wisconsin Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join its team.

This is an urgent opportunity with a firm that has served its community for approximately 60 years and handles around 150-200 calls annually.

Compensation

  • $50,000-$80,000 annually
  • Approximately $55,000 for candidates with around 1 year of licensed experience
  • Higher compensation available based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Meet with families and complete funeral arrangements
  • Direct funerals, visitations, memorial services, and graveside services
  • Perform embalming and preparation
  • Complete dressing, cosmetizing, and casketing
  • Coordinate removals and transfers
  • Complete death certificates, permits, and required documentation
  • Work with clergy, cemeteries, and vendors
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities
  • Assist with daily funeral home operations
  • Support the owner and apprentice

Qualifications

  • Wisconsin Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
  • Minimum of 1 year of licensed experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional and compassionate
  • Dependable and team-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willing to work in a smaller community
  • Interested in a long-term opportunity
