Performance Expectations for the CAS Senior:
- Prepare and maintain accounting records, including journal entries, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and the preparation of various financial statements with minimal supervision.
- Apply foundational accounting principles and technical knowledge to multiple and increasingly complex engagements.
- Continuously enhance technical expertise through continuing professional education (CPE), self-development, and hands-on experience.
- Independently follow instructions, complete assigned tasks accurately, and address review comments in a timely manner with limited oversight.
- Stay current on accounting standards, industry developments, and professional pronouncements while researching technical accounting matters as needed.
- Recognize client concerns and potential problem areas, and develop practical recommendations for discussion with managers and partners.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications and become highly skilled in firm-approved software and technology platforms.
- Effectively complete and finalize engagement assignments, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients through process improvements, operational efficiencies, and strategic recommendations.
Experience/Qualifications for the CAS Senior:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
- CPA Eligible
- A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in public accounting.
- Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
Compensation for the Tax Accountant:
- Flexible schedule
- Bonus for completing CPA while employed & Becker study materials reimbursement
