  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes, including IBC, ASCE, AISC, NDS, and related standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of structural engineering experience, with significant experience in architectural roof truss design and complex structural systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects, interacting directly with architects and contractors, selecting structural systems, and preparing construction documents.
  • Proven ability to oversee junior engineers, coordinate with clients, and take full responsibility for the integrity and quality of structural designs.
  • Expertise in managing project budgets, schedules, and client expectations while building strong, trustworthy relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, load path design, connection detailing, and material behavior.
  • Experience designing with wood and timber structural systems.
  • Proficiency with structural engineering software such as RISA, RAM, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing with steel, timber, concrete, and hybrid structural systems.
