A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Electrician to join its maintenance team on 3rd shift. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working with automated systems, and keeping production running efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, electronic, and control systems throughout the facility.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on motors, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, PLCs, conveyors, and production equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and support production by minimizing downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
- Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Partner with maintenance and operations teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience required.
- Journeyman Electrician license/certification preferred.
- Candidates with equivalent industrial electrical maintenance experience will also be considered.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical controls, automation, and production equipment.
- Experience with motors, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, PLCs, and electrical distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and root cause analysis.
- Experience in food, beverage, dairy, packaging, or other manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift/night shift.
