Position Summary

The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading clinical staff. This role partners with leadership to strengthen nursing programs while promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily nursing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supervise clinical programs, including Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Lead staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff.
  • Ensure timely resident assessments, care planning, MDS completion, and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional resident care.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and resident satisfaction.
  • Participate in organizational planning and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred, or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing leadership experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, and clinical operations.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with older adults.
  • Experience in senior living, long-term care, assisted living, or gerontology is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
