Associate Attorney – Insurance Coverage

A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice in Parsippany, New Jersey.

This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated insurance coverage matters involving complex policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and litigation. Attorneys work closely with experienced practitioners while taking an active role in advising clients, developing legal strategy, and handling matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance coverage issues involving commercial and personal lines policies
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research on complex insurance coverage issues
• Handle declaratory judgment actions and related coverage litigation
• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings
• Communicate directly with clients regarding coverage analysis and litigation strategy
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex insurance coverage matters

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license
• 1+ years of insurance coverage experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple matters while working collaboratively with a team
• Additional bar admissions are a plus
