Civil Project Manager

A well-established and growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of site development and heavy civil projects throughout the Nashville area. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with owners, developers, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee project costs, contract administration, change orders, and monthly billing.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and quality while proactively addressing potential issues.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
- Support procurement efforts, subcontractor negotiations, and material purchasing.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Mentor Project Engineers and other junior team members as the team continues to grow.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing civil construction or site development projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with projects involving earthwork, underground utilities, grading, paving, stormwater, concrete, and infrastructure improvements.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and cost control.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and civil engineering plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, HCSS, Viewpoint, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is a plus.

- Competitive base salary: $110,000–$150,000+ (commensurate with experience)
