Job Title: Oil & Gas Title Attorney
Location: San Antonio, TX

I am currently working directly with a highly respected, nationally recognized law firm in the energy sector that is looking to add an Oil & Gas Title Attorney to its San Antonio office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in oil and gas title work.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Oil & Gas Title Attorney who wants to handle sophisticated, high-value energy matters while working alongside a well-established and reputable team. The firm is open to attorneys at the Of Counsel or Partner level and is also open to relocation for the right candidate.

The compensation structure for this role is market-competitive and commensurate with experience, with generous performance-based bonuses.

What We Need

• 5+ years of experience focused on oil and gas title examination and related upstream transactions

• Significant experience drafting and reviewing original, supplemental, division order, and acquisition title opinions

• Strong familiarity with Texas oil and gas law, including mineral and royalty interests, leases, assignments, and curative requirements

• Experience analyzing complex chains of title, identifying defects, and preparing clear curative requirements and recommendations

• Comfort working with landmen, in-house counsel, and company representatives on title, leasing, and development issues

• Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to clearly explain title issues and risk to sophisticated energy clients

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple title projects and deadlines simultaneously

• Active Texas Bar license
