A well-established horticulture company is seeking an experienced Grower Location Manager to oversee daily greenhouse operations, plant production, team leadership, inventory, and sales support.
Location: Confidential in Pennsylvania; Also accepting applicants for this position at locations in North & South Carolina. Generous relocation package included.
Responsibilities
• Manage daily greenhouse and garden center operations
• Oversee plant production, inventory, merchandising, pricing, signage, and plant quality
• Hire, train, and supervise greenhouse labor, sales associates, and support staff
• Receive, inspect, water, display, and maintain healthy plant inventory
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking needs
• Maintain labor reports, pesticide application logs, plug grade sheets, disease logs, and testing records
• Identify pest, disease, and plant health issues and take corrective action
• Support the sales team in building strong retail customer relationships
• Communicate regularly with district management on staffing, inventory, production, and sales updates
• Follow company safety policies and state and federal Department of Agriculture regulations
Qualifications
• Greenhouse, nursery, garden center, or horticulture management experience required
• Degree in horticulture, plant science, agriculture, business, or related field preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of plant care, watering, fertility, pest management, and inventory control
• Ability to coach and train employees while supporting sales goals
• Comfortable working independently and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending
