Job Description

Are you passionate about horticulture and looking for a long-term career with growth opportunities? We are seeking a General Manager Trainee to join our nursery and greenhouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, career-minded individual who is ready to learn every aspect of the business and develop into a leadership role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or a related field required.
  • 4+ years’ experience ideally focused on one or more areas: Production Management, Greenhouse Operations, Nursery Supervisor or Management
  • Career-minded with a strong desire to grow into a General Manager position.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn all aspects of nursery operations.
  • Willing to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Some outdoor locations are subject to extreme hot and cold temperatures, and wet or humid conditions.
  • Must be willing to travel and relocate for training and future management opportunities.
  • Must currently reside in the U.S. and have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Train in all areas of nursery and greenhouse operations, including production, inventory, customer service, and staff supervision.
  • Learn best practices in plant health, irrigation, fertilization, pest management, and quality control.
  • Assist with scheduling, team leadership, and operational planning.
  • Develop the skills necessary to manage a successful nursery location.
