Commercial Loan Officer – National Franchise Lending

Office Location Flexibility: Wichita to Pittsburg, Kansas
Base Salary: $70,000–$110,000 DOE

Are you a commercial lender who enjoys building lasting client relationships while working with some of the country's most established franchise operators? This is a rare opportunity to inherit an existing, high-quality portfolio with one of Kansas' premier community banks.

Due to the promotion of a successful Commercial Loan Officer to President, we're seeking a relationship-focused lender to step into an established franchise lending portfolio and help support one of the bank's fastest-growing specialty lending divisions.

The Opportunity

This is a true succession opportunity. You'll inherit significant franchise relationships—including nationally recognized brands—and become the trusted banking partner for business owners across the country. You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team while helping transition a portfolio built over decades of relationship banking.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of franchise lending relationships.

  • Build trusted partnerships with franchise owners located throughout the United States.

  • Analyze financial statements, prepare credit presentations, and underwrite commercial loans.

  • Complete financial spreading and cash flow analysis using Excel.

  • Identify opportunities to deepen banking relationships while delivering exceptional client service.

  • Travel several times each year to meet clients in person and strengthen long-term relationships.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial credit skills with a genuine passion for relationship banking. Learning about the franchise businesses we support and the people they attract is imperative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial banking and lending experience. (5-7 years ideal)

  • Franchise lending or franchise industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong credit underwriting and financial analysis skills.

  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial spreading.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

  • Self-motivated professional who enjoys managing an established portfolio while growing long-term client relationships.

Key Success Factors

  • Strong commercial credit analysis and financial spreading in Excel.

  • Exceptional relationship-building and client management skills.

  • Commercial banking experience with franchise lending experience preferred.
