Insurance Defense Attorney

A well-established California law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Los Angeles.

This position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful litigation matters, work directly with clients, and take an active role in case strategy from inception through resolution. The firm is looking for an attorney who enjoys litigation, values professional growth, and wants to be part of a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
• Take and defend depositions
• Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Develop case strategy and work closely with other attorneys on complex matters

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license
• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Insurance defense experience preferred
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience handling depositions and court appearances
• Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively with a team

Salary: $140,000 – $220,000
