Job Description

A well-known and reputable ag operation is looking for a Tender Truck Driver to join their team at a high-volume location. This position will be responsible for delivering agriculture pesticides and fertilizers to crop fields for custom application, delivering agronomy products, assisting in the grain department, and working with customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver fertilizer and crop protection products to the correct field locations
  • Operate tender trucks safely and efficiently
  • Perform daily trip and monthly truck inspections
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow PPE requirements when needed
  • Blend and load liquid, dry, and anhydrous ammonia fertilizer according to recommendations
  • Maintain agronomy equipment
  • Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed in the field or shop
  • Assist in the grain department as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to support growers and their operations
  • Work overtime as required during busy seasons

Qualifications:

  • Class A CDL with Haz-Mat and tanker endorsements required
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining semi trucks
  • Farm background preferred
  • General knowledge of machine operations and maintenance
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively with management and customers
  • Ability to calculate acres, gallons, tons, and other measurements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to determine efficient routes between fields

Compensation:

  • $20-$26/hour

This is a high-volume location with a busy seasonal workload. Candidates must be willing and able to work long hours during peak season, with some weeks reaching up to 100 hours.
