Field Service Technician/CNC Field Service

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC equipment at customer facilities.

This hands-on field service role requires strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic expertise, sound independent judgment,

and professional customer communication.

Position Details

Work Arrangement: Hybrid/field-based, with most work performed on-site at customer locations

Travel: Local travel is required, with some overnight travel; weekend travel is not expected

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair customer CNC equipment, including lathes and mills from a variety of manufacturers.

• Service electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems using advanced diagnostic tools and appropriate test equipment.

• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to identify root causes and complete effective repairs.

• Provide customers and internal team members with clear status updates, technical guidance, and recommended next steps.

• Document maintenance, diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and service activity accurately and promptly.

• Follow all company and customer safety procedures while working at manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical degree or industrial maintenance certification is preferred.

• Five to ten years of electrical field service experience, ideally supporting CNC equipment and controls such as Siemens and FANUC.

• Hands-on experience servicing CNC lathes and mills across multiple equipment brands.

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
