Partner: Trust & Estate Planning

We are seeking a highly experienced Partner level Trust & Estate Planning Attorney to join our practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 10+ years of experience who is looking for a long-term platform  and the ability to play a significant role in serving sophisticated clients.

Our firm represents individuals, families, business owners, and high-net-worth clients on a wide range of estate planning, wealth transfer, tax planning, and succession planning matters. We pride ourselves on providing personalized, sophisticated legal guidance while building lasting relationships with our clients.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling complex estate planning matters and the ability to independently manage client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning strategies
  • Draft and review complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments
  • Counsel clients regarding wealth transfer strategies, tax planning, charitable planning, and asset protection
  • Assist clients with business succession planning and closely held business matters
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to long-term clients
  • Collaborate with attorneys across related practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys and contribute to the continued development of the practice

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience practicing in trust and estate planning
  • Strong background in sophisticated estate planning and wealth transfer strategies
  • Experience working directly with high-net-worth clients and complex family structures
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and client relationship skills
  • Ability to independently manage matters from inception through completion
  • Strong business development skills and interest in growing a practice
  • Illinois Bar admission required

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base compensation commensurate with experience ($200,000 - $300,000)
  • 1500-1600 annual billable hour requirement
  • Hybrid work environment
