Traveling Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location: Nationwide Travel 

Employment Type: Full-Time

A respected and growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a proven field leader with strong commercial construction experience who enjoys traveling and managing complex projects across multiple markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing manufacturing facilities, K-12 education projects, data centers, warehouses, distribution centers, and tilt-wall construction. This role requires a hands-on superintendent who can lead subcontractors, manage daily site operations, maintain project schedules, and deliver high-quality construction outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all onsite construction activities from mobilization through project completion.

• Lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.

• Maintain project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. • Conduct daily site inspections and monitor jobsite progress.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners. • Review plans, specifications, and construction documents.

• Lead subcontractor meetings and resolve field issues efficiently.

• Maintain strong communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience.

• Experience managing large-scale commercial projects.

• Strong background with manufacturing, industrial, data center, warehouse, K-12, or tilt-wall construction preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project momentum.

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest.

• Must be comfortable returning home approximately once per month.
