This is an outstanding opportunity for a tax professional who wants to combine deep technical expertise with leadership, client advisory, and business development in a collaborative environment.

This is more than an average tax management role! The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted resource for both clients and staff—providing technical guidance, developing team members, strengthening client relationships, and helping grow the firm's presence throughout the marketplace.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and review complex tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other business entities.

  • Stay current on evolving federal and state tax legislation and proactively educate both clients and team members on changes impacting their businesses.

  • Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services that help clients achieve their financial goals.

  • Mentor, train, and develop tax professionals while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

  • Serve as a technical resource for the firm's tax team and assist with quality control and best practices.

  • Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring exceptional client service and timely delivery.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand services.

  • Represent the firm in the community through networking events, professional organizations, and business development activities.

  • Help promote the firm's brand by serving as an ambassador for its culture, people, and client-first approach.

Qualifications

  • CPA preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation with the ability to research and interpret changing tax laws.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a practical, client-friendly manner.

  • Experience building trusted client relationships and providing value-added advisory services.

  • Interest in networking, business development, and representing the firm within the marketplace.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.

Why Join This Firm?

  • Hybrid and flexible work schedule designed to support work-life balance.

  • Locally owned firm experiencing steady, organic growth.

  • No plans for private equity investment or mergers.

  • Outstanding, people-first culture with an open-door leadership team.

  • Sustainable busy season workloads.

  • Competitive base salary plus bonus opportunity.

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.

  • Strong mentorship and leadership development.

  • Clear path for continued career advancement.

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future growth of the firm.
