Machine Operator/Maintenance Trainee in De Soto

Job Description

Our client, a food manufacturing company in Richland County, Wisconsin, is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery and wants to develop their mechanical skills through on-the-job training in machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate food manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Receive hands-on training in machine maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Support production goals while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized following GMP and safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operator, or Production Team Member.
  • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning machine maintenance.
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and performing basic repairs as trained.
  • Reliable work history with a strong attendance record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Schedule

  • Day Shift starts at 6:00 AM
  • Shift length varies based on production needs and customer orders.
  • Typical workdays range from 4 to 12 hours.
  • Weekly hours generally range from 30–50 hours (full-time)
