Job Description

Experienced Landscape Architect

A growing, design-focused firm is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative designer who enjoys the early phases of project development and turning complex site challenges into compelling, buildable design solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead front-end design efforts including site analysis, zoning and code evaluation, programming, and conceptual design.
  • Create design narratives, vision packages, character imagery boards, and high-quality client presentations.
  • Develop and test multiple site layout options while balancing design vision, site constraints, and client goals.
  • Present concepts to clients, municipal boards, architects, civil engineers, developers, and internal project teams.
  • Translate feedback into refined, thoughtful design solutions.
  • Help carry design intent from schematic design through design development for a smooth transition into construction documents.
  • Contribute to projects including urban infill, adaptive reuse, landscape and hardscape design, master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, and large-scale visioning efforts.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–8 years of experience (We still encourage you to apply if outside of experience listed) in landscape architecture, urban design, or a multidisciplinary AEC environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Professional landscape architecture licensure preferred, but not required.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating hand sketching, digital rendering, graphic communication, and 2D/3D spatial planning.
  • Large-scale master planning experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of zoning regulations, building codes, site engineering, and construction documentation.
  • Expert-level AutoCAD skills; Civil 3D exposure is a plus.
  • Experience with Land F/X, SketchUp, Lumion or D5, and Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
  • A strong work ethic, integrity, creativity, and ownership mindset.

Why Join the Team?

  • Work on meaningful, high-visibility projects across a variety of types and scales.
  • Join a talented, collaborative team built around learning, respect, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Build a long-term career with clear professional growth opportunities.
  • Receive competitive compensation, profit sharing, and a strong benefits package.
  • Enjoy hybrid flexibility, including remote Fridays.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking team exploring AI and emerging technology in the design process.
