Setup CNC Machinist

Join a growing precision manufacturing team where your setup skills have a direct impact on production, quality, and continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced Setup CNC Machinist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and keeping production running efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers to maximize machine utilization.

• Read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment to produce high-quality parts.

• Identify and resolve machining, tooling, and quality issues while minimizing downtime.

• Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine setups to support efficient production.

• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and help implement standardized, repeatable processes.

• Train and mentor machine operators on setup changes, best practices, and production improvements.

• Complete production documentation and maintain a safe, organized work area.

What We're Looking For

• Two or more years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Technical training in CNC machining or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications.

• Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, offsets, and machine adjustments.

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with GD&T is a plus.
