Confidential Preconstruction Purchasing Manager

Location: Greater Jacksonville, FL

A growing construction and development company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Purchasing/Operations Manager to support residential, multifamily, and commercial development projects.

This individual will play a key role in purchasing, procurement, budgeting, vendor management, and preconstruction planning while helping support a rapidly expanding project pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage purchasing and procurement strategies
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Support budgeting and preconstruction efforts
• Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Prepare bid packages and analyze proposals
• Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships
• Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities
• Coordinate with operations, construction, and leadership teams
• Support process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of purchasing, preconstruction, estimating, or construction operations experience
• Background in residential, multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, amenities and development projects
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods
• Experience negotiating with vendors and subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Commercial or mixed-use projects
• Amenity buildings
• Preconstruction and procurement leadership
