About the Opportunity

A highly respected law firm is seeking a California-licensed Litigation Associate to join its growing team. This is a completely remote opportunity for an attorney who has experience in civil litigation and is interested in expanding or continuing their practice in insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload involving insurance defense and insurance coverage matters
• Handle cases from initial evaluation through discovery, motions, settlement, and trial
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Develop case strategy and work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff
• Maintain accurate case files and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license required
• Must currently reside in California
• Civil litigation experience required
• Insurance defense and/or insurance coverage experience preferred, but not required
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience managing litigation matters with a high level of independence
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
