Superintendent – Commercial Drywall

 

A well-established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent with a background in commercial drywall, metal framing, and related interior systems.

The ideal candidate is a strong field leader capable of coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely and to quality standards.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of field leadership experience in commercial drywall, interiors, specialty contracting, or related construction
  • Experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, or related scopes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, manpower planning, and production
  • Experience leading field crews and coordinating subcontractors
  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel locally to project sites

Preferred

  • 5+ years of commercial drywall experience
  • Experience supervising large commercial projects and field teams
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices
  • Experience coordinating with general contractors and other trades
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction software

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily field operations for commercial drywall projects
  • Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and deliveries
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor field production
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Monitor workmanship, quality, safety, and jobsite conditions
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, general contractors, vendors, and other trades
  • Identify and resolve field issues that could impact schedule or production
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

  • Competitive base salary: $75,000 – $110,000+ (depending on experience and market)
