Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Sioux Falls, SD Area | Executive Leadership | Full-Time

A well-established and growing organization within the food service and hospitality industry is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven CFO who can oversee financial strategy and operations while serving as a key advisor on contracts, negotiations, business decisions, and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's finance and accounting functions

• Partner with ownership and senior leadership on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning

• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow, internal controls, risk management, and overall financial performance

• Lead the review, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts and business agreements

• Analyze contract terms, pricing structures, financial commitments, and potential risks

• Participate directly in negotiations and provide strategic recommendations to leadership

• Evaluate growth opportunities, investments, and business initiatives

• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency

• Maintain relationships with banking, insurance, legal, accounting, and other external partners

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members

• Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure financial strategy supports the business

Qualifications

• Prior CFO experience required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

• CPA license preferred

• Strong experience with contract review and negotiations

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related industry strongly preferred

• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls

• Proven ability to analyze complex financial and contractual matters

• Strong negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills

• Ability to partner effectively with ownership, leadership, operations, and outside business partners

• Strategic mindset with a willingness to remain hands-on when needed
