Job Description

CONFIDENTIAL CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Ready to Take the Next Step in Your Bridge Engineering Career?

A respected and growing civil engineering organization is confidentially seeking a Bridge Project Manager to join an established transportation and structural engineering practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bridge engineer who has developed a strong technical foundation and is ready for greater project ownership, client exposure, leadership responsibility, and long-term career growth.

You'll work on a diverse portfolio of publicly funded bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, while collaborating with experienced engineers, developing younger professionals, and becoming increasingly involved in client and project leadership.

If you're looking for an opportunity where you can do more than simply produce calculations and plans—and want to begin having a larger influence on projects, people and clients—this position deserves a conversation.

What You'll Have the Opportunity to Do

  • Manage and contribute to bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects of varying size and complexity.

  • Help establish project scope, schedules, budgets and overall delivery strategies.

  • Take ownership of multiple projects while coordinating priorities and deadlines.

  • Review engineering calculations, drawings and construction documents.

  • Coordinate project activities across engineering disciplines and outside consultants.

  • Work directly with public-sector clients to understand project needs and develop engineering recommendations.

  • Participate in proposal development and help pursue future transportation and infrastructure projects.

  • Perform field evaluations of existing bridge structures and assist in developing recommendations for rehabilitation, repair or replacement.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to younger engineers and CAD/design professionals.

  • Build the project-management and client-development experience necessary to continue progressing into higher levels of leadership.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering

  • 4+ years of bridge and/or transportation engineering experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure within approximately six months

  • Experience with bridge design, rehabilitation and/or replacement projects

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing project deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, engineers, designers and project stakeholders

  • Willingness to occasionally participate in bridge inspections and field evaluations

  • Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative with the broader engineering team

Why This Opportunity?

This role provides an attractive combination of technical engineering, project management, client interaction and leadership development.

For the right engineer, it represents an opportunity to transition from primarily performing design work into becoming a professional who can lead projects, mentor engineers, build client relationships and have a meaningful voice in the future of a bridge practice.

You'll have the opportunity to work with an experienced bridge team while gaining exposure to significant public infrastructure projects and developing the skills necessary for continued advancement.

Interested, But Not Actively Looking?

That's completely fine. Some of the best career opportunities are worth exploring before you're actively searching. All conversations regarding this position will be handled confidentially.

If you have 4+ years of bridge/transportation experience and are interested in greater responsibility, stronger career advancement and the opportunity to help lead bridge projects, apply today for a confidential conversation. Contact Larry Lemberger @ larry.lemberger@gogpac.com or 920-227-4073
