Civil Defense Attorney Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Civil Defense Attorney with 2–5+ years of experience to join a growing litigation team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a California-licensed attorney with strong experience handling civil defense matters from inception through resolution.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience and be comfortable managing cases independently while working closely with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and the firm's litigation team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, mediation briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Handle written discovery and discovery disputes
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
• Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure
• Manage a caseload and meet deadlines independently

Qualifications:

• 2–5+ years of civil litigation experience
• Civil defense experience preferred
• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and case management
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
