CNC Lathe Machinist

 

Day Shift | Monday - Friday | OT Available | Health Insurance 100% Paid

 

A confidential manufacturing company in the Greater Austin area is looking for a CNC Lathe Machinistto join their machining team.

 

This is a hands‑on CNC machining role for an experienced machinist who enjoys both setup and production. The position involves setting up and operating CNC mills,

lathes, verticals, or horizontals to produce high‑quality components at or above established cycle times and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC lathes and mills with no supervision
  • Change tooling and make machine adjustments to hold tolerances
  • Load/unload parts and run production cycles
  • Read blueprints, job orders, and GD&T specs
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges 

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of CNC Lathe Machine Operation experience
  • CNC lathe and mill experience required
  • Skilled in G & M Code understanding with program editing ability
  • Setup and tooling changeover experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
  • Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday 
  • Average work week is 45 hours
  • Overtime available
