A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major municipal water and wastewater construction projects throughout Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with a strong background in water/wastewater treatment plants, underground utilities, pump stations, lift stations, and municipal infrastructure who is looking for a long-term opportunity with room for advancement.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field crews, superintendents, engineers, inspectors, municipalities, and clients
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
- Monitor project financial performance and profitability
- Identify and resolve construction issues and utility conflicts
- Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, MUDs, engineers, and other project stakeholders
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
- Direct experience with municipal water and wastewater projects
- Experience with wastewater treatment plants and/or water treatment facilities
- Experience with lift stations, pump stations, force mains, gravity sewer, and waterlines
- Strong underground utility and sitework experience
- Experience working with municipalities, MUDs, engineers, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
- Understanding of excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, bypass pumping, and utility conflicts
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, procurement, and subcontractor management
- Familiarity with Texas permitting and TCEQ requirements
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project, or similar construction software
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications are a plus but not necessarily required. Candidates with OSHA 30, PMP, CCM, construction management, civil engineering, or TCEQ-related credentials are encouraged to apply.
