Civil Construction Project Manager

A well-established civil construction company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex civil construction projects with a strong focus on earthwork, demolition, site development, grading, and erosion control

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Oversee earthwork, excavation, grading, site preparation, and mass excavation
  • Coordinate demolition activities, including site clearing, structural demolition, and debris removal
  • Manage erosion and sediment control, stormwater systems, and environmental compliance
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel
  • Track project costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and purchase orders
  • Conduct regular project meetings and communicate effectively with owners, engineers, architects, and subcontractors
  • Identify potential project issues and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure projects comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review project reports, schedules, forecasts, and financial documentation
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure projects exceed expectations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of civil construction project management experience
  • Experience with earthwork, excavation, demolition, grading, and site development
  • Strong understanding of erosion and sediment control and stormwater management
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and change orders
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
