A busy and growing plaintiff-side law firm in the Dadeland area is seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Assistant to provide high-level support to two attorneys. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive day-to-day support to two attorneys.
- Manage and maintain case files from inception through resolution.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, meetings, and other appointments.
- Facilitate all aspects of the discovery process.
- Assist with discovery requests, responses, document organization, and case preparation.
- Coordinate depositions and communicate with attorneys, opposing counsel, court personnel, witnesses, and other parties.
- Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including organizing exhibits and evidence.
- Provide courtroom support and assist attorneys during trial as needed.
- Complete electronic filing (E-filing) and ensure documents are filed accurately and timely.
- Track deadlines, court dates, and case-related tasks to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Maintain highly organized and accurate case files and calendars.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal/legal assistant experience, preferably in a litigation or plaintiff-side practice.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and case management.
- Experience with discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Proficiency with E-filing systems and legal document preparation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while providing proactive support to attorneys.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced law firm environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000–$85,000 annual salary, based on experience
