Associate Attorney – Employment Litigation Defense

San Diego, CA | Hybrid | 2+ Years

A well-established law firm is looking to add an Employment Litigation Associate to its San Diego team.

This is a good opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful hands-on litigation experience and the chance to take on increasing responsibility across a range of employment defense matters.

What You'll Do

  • Handle employment litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents

  • Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy

  • Manage written discovery and case preparation

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings

  • Work on wage & hour, PAGA, single-plaintiff, and class action matters

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties

  • Manage multiple matters and meet deadlines and billable expectations

What We're Looking For

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active California Bar membership and in good standing

  • 2+ years of employment litigation experience

  • Experience with wage & hour litigation

  • PAGA, class action, and/or single-plaintiff experience strongly preferred

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively with a team
