A well-established law firm is looking to add an Employment Litigation Associate to its San Diego team.
This is a good opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful hands-on litigation experience and the chance to take on increasing responsibility across a range of employment defense matters.
Handle employment litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents
Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy
Manage written discovery and case preparation
Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings
Work on wage & hour, PAGA, single-plaintiff, and class action matters
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
Manage multiple matters and meet deadlines and billable expectations
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active California Bar membership and in good standing
2+ years of employment litigation experience
Experience with wage & hour litigation
PAGA, class action, and/or single-plaintiff experience strongly preferred
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively with a team
