Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of commercial banking relationships.
  • Proactively prospect for new commercial lending and deposit opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand the overall relationship.
  • Originate and structure commercial loans while ensuring appropriate credit quality and risk management.
  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, credit information, and other relevant borrower information.
  • Underwrite new commercial credits and prepare loan packages for approval.
  • Manage an existing loan portfolio while maintaining appropriate documentation, covenant compliance, and risk ratings.
  • Partner with internal teams to provide clients with deposit, treasury/cash management, merchant services, and other banking solutions.
  • Work closely with attorneys, title companies, appraisers, insurance providers, and other outside professionals as needed.
  • Provide exceptional service throughout the entire lending relationship.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable banking regulations, BSA requirements, and internal policies.
  • Participate in community and business development activities to strengthen the bank's presence in the local market.

Ideal Candidate

The bank is looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in commercial banking and commercial lending.
  • Strong in relationship management and business development.
  • Comfortable sourcing and developing new commercial relationships.
  • Experienced with commercial credit analysis and loan underwriting.
  • Able to manage and grow an existing commercial loan portfolio.
  • Knowledgeable in CRE, C&I, and other commercial lending products.
  • Highly relationship-oriented and client-focused.
  • Able to balance production goals with sound credit judgment.
  • Professional, ethical, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • Interested in building a long-term career with a community-focused banking organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and banking experience.
  • Several years of relevant commercial banking, lending, or credit experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with lending and bank leadership.
  • NMLS registration/licensing as required.
