Bankruptcy/Foreclosure/Creditors' Rights Attorney 

 

A well-established AV Preeminent-rated firm is seeking a Bankruptcy/Foreclosure/Creditors' Rights Attorney to join its team. This position is REMOTE; however, the candidate MUST live in Idaho. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with experience representing financial institutions, lenders, businesses, or other creditors in a variety of collection, enforcement, bankruptcy, and litigation matters.

Position Overview 

The attorney will represent creditors and financial institutions in matters involving debt enforcement, bankruptcy, foreclosure, collections, and related commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong legal and analytical skills, excellent client communication abilities, and the ability to manage matters independently.

Responsibilities

  • Represent lenders, financial institutions, businesses, and other creditors
  • Handle creditors' rights matters from initial evaluation through resolution
  • Manage bankruptcy matters, including creditor claims, automatic stay issues, motions for relief, and adversary proceedings
  • Handle collection, foreclosure, replevin, garnishment, and judgment-enforcement matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and analyze applicable statutes, regulations, and case law
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and other court proceedings
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties
  • Develop effective strategies for debt recovery and enforcement
  • Manage an active caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in ID
  • 2+ years of creditors' rights, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, collections, foreclosure, or related experience
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience representing lenders or financial institutions is preferred
