Plaintiff Personal Injury Associate Attorney (2-4 years experience)

Position Overview:

A fantastic, and well-respected regional firm is looking to add an Associate Attorney to their team. This associate will handle a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, taking cases from inception to resolution, including litigation if necessary. The associate should be collaborative, communicative, and accountable. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters
  • Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other involved parties
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
  • Review and analyze medical records, bills, accident reports, and other evidence.
  • Conduct and defend depositions as experience permits.
  • Negotiate claims and settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Assist with case strategy, litigation preparation, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain accurate case files and meet applicable deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing in TX.
  • Prior personal injury experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, liability, damages, and insurance claims.
  • Excellent negotiation, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong organization and case-management abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage matters while working effectively as part of a team.
  • Litigation, deposition, mediation, or trial experience is a plus.

Compensation: Market-competitive compensation with significant performance-based upside, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
