Project Manager – Geotechnical / Heavy Civil Construction

Charlotte, NC Area

One of my clients is in need of an experienced Project Manager to join their team and manage geotechnical and heavy civil construction projects ranging from approximately $50K to $5M.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in geotechnical construction, foundation drilling, pile driving, earthwork, site development, or related heavy civil work who enjoys owning projects from preconstruction through completion. You’ll work directly with clients, lead project teams, and have a hand in both project execution and business development.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage multiple geotechnical construction projects from planning through closeout
  • Lead project teams while managing schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and overall execution
  • Work directly with clients to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Identify new opportunities, develop client relationships, and assist with business development
  • Prepare and review proposals, estimates, risk assessments, technical information, and project scopes
  • Participate in site visits, client Q&A, contract negotiations, and preconstruction planning
  • Other tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of geotechnical, heavy civil, foundation, or related construction experience preferred
  • Experience with foundation drilling, pile driving, earthwork, site development, or similar scopes is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and risk management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $110,000–$125,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, location, and other applicable factors.
