Position Overview

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to support and improve the production of complex electronic and electromechanical assemblies.

This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering role supporting production operations, resolving technical issues, improving processes, and helping ensure products are manufactured efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with customer and industry requirements.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience with circuit card assembly manufacturing, along with exposure to cable and wire harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, or box-build products. This individual should be comfortable working closely with production personnel, engineering, quality, purchasing, and customers to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical manufacturing support for circuit card assemblies, cable and wire harnesses, and electromechanical box builds.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes, routings, work instructions, and visual aids.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, parts lists, and customer requirements.
  • Support RFQ and proposal activities, including labor-time estimates, manufacturing feasibility, and cost considerations.
  • Review and support the implementation of engineering changes, ECOs, and ECNs.
  • Participate in engineering and production kickoff meetings for new programs and product introductions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and work directly with manufacturing personnel to identify practical solutions.
  • Lead or support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Analyze manufacturing data, defects, bottlenecks, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, purchasing, operations, and customers to resolve technical and production-related issues.
  • Support continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and other process-improvement methods.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures, manufacturing documentation, and process-control methods.
  • Assist with supplier-related technical issues and purchasing specifications.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment, processes, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are practical, repeatable, and aligned with applicable customer and industry standards.
