Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing and well-established electrical contractor in the Dallas, TX market. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated estimator who enjoys working on commercial construction projects while playing a key role in the company's continued growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and pricing of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
- Develop detailed bid proposals and scope reviews.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and clients throughout the bidding process.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and industry partners.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
- Commercial, healthcare, education, and mixed-use project experience.
- Design-build and negotiated project experience.
- Knowledge of current electrical codes and industry standards.
