Supply Chain Professional – Manufacturing
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Supply Chain Professional with hands-on manufacturing experience to help optimize the flow of materials, inventory, production, and finished goods. This individual will play a key role in improving supply chain efficiency, supporting production goals, and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate supply chain activities from raw materials through finished goods.
- Develop and maintain production, purchasing, and inventory plans aligned with manufacturing demand.
- Monitor inventory levels, material availability, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Operations, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Identify and resolve material shortages, production constraints, and supply disruptions.
- Analyze forecasts, demand requirements, and production schedules to ensure appropriate material availability.
- Support cost-reduction, inventory optimization, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system data and supply chain documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules, pricing, and performance.
- Track key supply chain metrics and identify opportunities to improve service levels, efficiency, and profitability.
- Help develop contingency plans and mitigate supply chain risks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supply chain, materials, planning, purchasing, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and production planning.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
