Production ManagerAbout the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee day-to-day operations within a metal fabrication manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing people, coordinating production, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

We are open to candidates with a strong general manufacturing management background. Experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or a similar environment is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production employees, supervisors, and day-to-day floor operations.
  • Plan and schedule production to meet customer deadlines and company goals.
  • Monitor production efficiency, workflow, and staffing needs.
  • Maintain and improve quality control processes and standards.
  • Identify production issues and work with the team to develop solutions.
  • Coordinate materials, manpower, equipment, and production priorities.
  • Complete production reports, paperwork, documentation, and other administrative tasks.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Work closely with management and other departments to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and overall shop performance.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing people in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of quality control and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable handling production paperwork and documentation.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Metal fabrication experience is a plus, but general manufacturing management experience will be considered.

  • $75,000–$100,000+ salary, depending on experience
