Job Description

GPAC is partnering with a premier, rapidly growing meat processing organization in Western Ohio seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Wastewater Technician. Operating out of a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility featuring modern stainless-steel equipment, this position is ideal for an experienced tech seeking stability, top-tier compensation, and true career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.).
  • Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data.
  • Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust chemical treatment (pH levels, chemical dosing) as necessary.
  • Perform probe calibrations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on pumps and treatment systems.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, operational records, and compliance reports.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience preferred.
  • Valid Wastewater Certification preferred.
  • Experience with chemical dosing, pH monitoring, and pump troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PLC or SCADA systems.
  • Forklift or equipment operation certification.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF.
