TRAVELING COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENTBig-Box Retail Construction | Nationwide Travel | Premier General Contractor $110,000 – $140,000+ Base Salary | Per Diem | Travel | Bonus | High-Profile Retail Construction Projects 

A premier and rapidly growing General Contractor is seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to lead major big-box retail construction

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Superintendent who enjoys traveling, wants to work on large-scale commercial projects, and is looking for strong compensation, excellent benefits, and long-term career growth.

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will take ownership of field operations for major big-box retail construction projects from mobilization through completion. You'll lead subcontractors, coordinate trades, maintain schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure the project is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead day-to-day field operations for large-scale retail construction projects
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Coordinate multiple trades and maintain project schedules
• Conduct daily jobsite coordination and subcontractor meetings
• Monitor quality control and workmanship
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and procedures
• Review construction plans, specifications, and schedules
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact the project
• Coordinate inspections and project milestones
• Work closely with the Project Manager and corporate leadership
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
• Manage project turnover and closeout activities
• Travel throughout the U.S. based on project requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Big-box retail, grocery, distribution, shopping center, or large-scale commercial experience strongly preferred
• Previous Superintendent experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to travel extensively for project assignments
• Procore or similar construction software experience preferred
