Job Snapshot

Job Description

CNC / Manual Machinist – 2nd Shift

If you are a machinist who likes actually making parts—not just loading them, this is the kind of opportunity worth looking at.

You’ll work on one-off parts and small production runs supporting the build of large, custom industrial machinery. This is hands-on job-shop

machining where you’ll take work from the engineering drawing through setup, G-code/M-code programming, machining, and final inspection using both CNC and manual equipment.

Why You May Want to Work Here

  • Work on custom parts and small runs rather than repetitive high-volume production.
  • Use both CNC and manual machining skills across lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, and other machine tools.
  • Take real ownership of your work from print through finished inspection.
  • Your work supports the manufacture of large custom industrial machinery and systems built from engineering through assembly and testing.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC and manual machine tools.
  • Perform G-code and M-code programming for machining operations.
  • Machine one-off parts and small production runs from engineering drawings.
  • Determine machining methods, tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and sequence of operations.
  • Operate lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, drill presses, and related equipment.
  • Inspect finished work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, honing, deburring, and other bench work as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, make adjustments, troubleshoot machining issues, and ensure parts meet specifications.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of machinist experience in a job-shop environment.
  • Experience setting up and machining one-off parts and small production runs.
  • Ability to perform G-code/M-code programming.
  • CNC and manual machining experience.
  • Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Strong understanding of machining speeds, feeds, tooling, and machine codes.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work second shift and overtime when required.
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and manlifts as required.

If you are an experienced machinist who enjoys figuring out how to make a part, setting up your own work, programming at the machine, and seeing it through inspection, we encourage you to apply.
