Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent

A growing commercial construction company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on commercial construction projects. This individual will work closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and field personnel to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and project coordination.

• Help coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and site logistics.

• Monitor work progress and assist with maintaining project schedules.

• Review plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and coordination.

• Assist with quality control, site safety, and jobsite organization.

• Track RFIs, submittals, inspections, and project documentation.

• Participate in subcontractor meetings and daily/weekly coordination.

• Help identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or quality.

• Maintain communication between the field team and Project Management.

Qualifications:

• Construction experience, preferably in commercial construction.

• Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and building processes.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced jobsite environment.

• OSHA training or construction-related education is a plus.
