Position Overview

A respected law firm in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a Business Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its litigation practice. This attorney will handle a variety of business disputes from initial strategy through trial and appeal, with opportunities for meaningful courtroom experience and direct client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle business and commercial disputes through all stages of litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
• Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare matters for trial
• Assist with litigation strategy and case development
• Prepare for and participate in trials and appellate matters
• Appear before Georgia Superior and State Courts, the Georgia State-wide Business Court, and U.S. District Courts
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
• Manage assigned matters and take ownership of work product

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of litigation experience
• Experience with business disputes preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients
• Desire to develop strong courtroom and trial skills
• Georgia Bar admission required
